Christmas Eve Breakfast, Nativity, and Jammies

This is another one of our new fun traditions with Dane's family. On Christmas eve morning we get together for a yummy breakfast and do the Nativity with all the cousins, then Nana and Papa give the kids their Christmas jammies. This year we held it at our home. We made delicious waffles (recipes from Williams and Sonoma). We had our yummy caramel syrup, bacon, sausage, cheese eggs, and fruit with some tasty juices. After our tummies were full we acted out the Nativity with the children and sang Christmas songs intermittently. The kids were all so cute and Kaiani was our baby Jesus. The kids really adored her (as you can see from the pictures). We were a little sad knowing that this will be our last year celebrating with Brandon and Bev's family. After we did the Nativity we watched hilarious you tube videos in which the kids were all singing "hide je keeds hide je wife" (thanks to Uncle Tom). After everyone left, Nana and Papa gave the kids their Christmas pjs. The kids get so excited to open their new jammies from Nana and Papa. They are the first Christmas presents they open. Nana and Papa started this tradition many years ago and we are so appreciative for this special gift.
