Halee and friends name the neighborhood school
This night was so thrilling! Halee and her two friends went in front of the school board to present the name they choose for the school along with school colors, theme ideas and mascot. The girls named the school Gold Rush Elementary. After doing research on our community the girls discovered that gold had been found here in the neighborhood. Halee is dressed as the mascot, the golden retriever, who is loyal, trusting, and a good friend. They choose red, black and gold to be the school colors. Each of the girls had to display a poster with their ideas on it. Halee is presenting her poster to the school board in the last picture. She had her speech memorized and she did an awesome job! After they presented their posters they handed each of the school board members chocolate golden coins. They received a huge round of applause and lots of giggles.
